Kenny Priest operates Fishing the North Coast, a fishing guide service based out of Humboldt County specializing in salmon and steelhead. I offer guided fishing adventures in Northern California on the Klamath, Smith, Eel, and Van Duzen rivers. In Oregon, I offer trips on the Chetco river.
I also write a weekly fishing column titled “Fishing the North Coast”, which is published every Thursday in the North Coast Journal. “Fishing the North Coast” offers anglers year-round information on ocean sport fishing as well as information on the Klamath, Smith, Mad, Van Duzen, Eel and Chetco Rivers.
My fishing reports are also featured in the Friday edition of the USA Fishing Hotsheet, NorCal Fishing Reports and My Outdoor Buddy website. You can listen to my reports every Saturday at 5-7am on the radio during the Outdoor Show out of Sacramento with Bob Simms on KFBK 1530 am and iHeart Radio.

Fishing has been my passion since I was a child growing up in Lodi. I recently became a licensed fishing guide and am looking forward to showing others the fantastic fishing opportunities the North Coast has to offer.
In addition to river fishing, I have spent many years on the ocean fishing out of Fort Bragg, Eureka and Crescent City. I can help put you in touch with many Charter Boat Captains who fish out of Humboldt Bay and Trinidad as well as Crescent City.
I’m a member of the Nor-Cal Guides and Sportsmen’s Association. NCGASA is a non-profit organization with a membership of more than 3,000 sportsmen/women in Northern California whose goal is to protect and increase hunting and fishing opportunities in the state for future generations. NCGASA works closely with other conservation organizations, attends many fish commission and regulatory meetings and lobbies at the state capital on behalf of the membership. Please visit NCGASA.org to learn more on how you can help.
