2nd annual Humboldt Steelhead Days/Fishing Derby on the Mad River coming up in 2015, and perhaps something on the Eel River as well. Contests, dinner/awards/auction/prizes in the works so far. Also, Eureka Main Street will be putting on a Crab Crawl Festival the first weekend of February 2015 and both events will be partnering up so that you can go fishing as well as eat some Humboldt Dungenous Crab down at the new Fisherman’s Terminal in Old Town Eureka where Wild Planet and Coast Seafood’s operates.
